  • Saba Yoi (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลสะบ้าย้อย), Saba Yoi district, Songkhla province, renamed and upgraded to Tha Phraya (เทศบาลตำบลท่าพระยา), effective September 5. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 58.93 km², 9 villages and 11,162 citizen.
  • Phanna (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลพรรณา), Phanna Nikhom district, Sakon Nakhon province, renamed and upgraded to Phanna Nakhon (เทศบาลตำบลพรรณานคร), effective September 6. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 37.22 km², 13 villages and 5,831 citizen.
  • Khung Samphao (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลคุ้งสำเภา), Manorom district, Chainat province, renamed and upgraded to Manorom (เทศบาลตำบลมโนรมย์), effective September 6. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 30.28 km², 4 villages and 3,411 citizen.
  • Phra Thaen (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลพระแท่น), Tha Maka district, Kanchanaburi province, renamed and upgraded to Phra Thaen Lam Phraya (เทศบาลตำบลพระแท่นลำพระยา). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 20.60 km², 9 villages and 3,425 citizen.
  • Senangkhanikhom (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลเสนางคนิคม), Senangkhanikhom district, Amnat Charoen province, renamed and upgraded to Siri Senang (เทศบาลตำบลสิริเสนางค์), effective September 5. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 93.9 km², 12 villages and 6,368 citizen.

  • Nai Mueang (เทศบาลตำบลในเมือง), Wiang Kao district, Khon Kaen province, effective September 6. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 58 km², 15 villages and 8,899 citizen.
  • Wiang Nuea (เทศบาลตำบลเวียงเหนือ), Wiang Chai district, Chiang Rai province, effective May 21. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 46 km², 12 villages and 6,625 citizen.
  • Bang Krathum, Bang Krathum district, Phitsanulok province, effective February 18 2010 (sic!). Additionally renamed to Huai Kaeo (เทศบาลตำบลห้วยแก้ว) since there is already the subdistrict municipality Bang Krathum (เทศบาลตำบลบางกระทุ่ม). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 40.45 km², 9 villages and 4,915 citizen.
  • Pichai subdistrict municipality (เทศบาลตำบลพิชัย), Mueang Lampang district, Lampang province, to be upgraded to a town municipality and renamed to Pichai Lampang (เทศบาลเมืองพิชัยลำปาง) effective June 13.
  • Tha Rae, Mueang Sakon Nakhon district, Sakon Nakhon province, to be upgraded to subdistrict municipality effective September 5 and renamed to Mueang Thong Tha Rae (เทศบาลตำบลเมืองทองท่าแร่) to avoid confusion with the municipality Tha Rae (เทศบาลตำบลท่าแร่ ) cvering parts of the subdistrict. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 11 km², 7 villages and 3,400 citizen.
  • Hua Khwang municipality (เทศบาลตำบลหัวขวาง), Kosum Phisai district, Maha Sarakham province, renamed to Kosum Phisai (เทศบาลตำบลโกสุมพิสัย) since it is the central subdistrict of Kosum Phisai district. Strangely, such a rename normally is discussed in the board to approve name changes, not the boards to discuss draft laws.

  • Tha Duea subdistrict municipality (เทศบาลตำบลท่าเดื่อ) renamed to Tha Duea - Muet Ka (เทศบาลตำบลท่าเดื่อ-มืดกา) as it covers parts of both subdistricts Tha Duea and Muet Ka. And probably also (but not mentioned) to avoid confusion with the adjoining TAO Tha Duea.
  • Ban Bua (เทศบาลตำบลบ้านบัว), Mueang Buriram district, Buriram province, effective August 23. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 42.68 km², 18 villages and 9,584 citizen.
  • Pa Sao (เทศบาลตำบลป่าเซ่า), Mueang Uttaradit district, Uttaradit province, effective August 22. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 45 km², 8 villages and 7,492 citizen.
  • Ngio Ngam (เทศบาลตำบลงิ้วงาม), Mueang Uttaradit district, Uttaradit province, effective August 24. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 59 km², 16 villages and 8,990 citizen.

  • Si That, Si That district, Udon Thani province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Bueng Kham O (เทศบาลตำบลบึงคำอ้อ), to avoid confusion with the municipality Si That (เทศบาลตำบลเกาะคา). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 21 km², 9 villages and 2,440 citizen.
  • Pa Daeng, Chat Trakan district, Phitsanulok province, effective on July 30 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sai Ngam (เทศบาลตำบลไทรงาม), to avoid confusion with the municipality Pa Daeng (เทศบาลตำบลป่าแดง). The TAO was created in 1996, covers 9 km², 7 villages and 3,255 citizen.
  • Rong Kwang, Rong Kwang district, Phrae province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sai Ngam (เทศบาลตำบลผานางคอย), to avoid confusion with the municipality Rong Kwang (เทศบาลตำบลร้องกวาง). The TAO was created in 1996, covers 62.30 km², 11 villages and 2,131 citizen.
  • Rong Fong, Mueang Phrae district, Phrae province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Rong Fong Nam Cham (เทศบาลตำบลฟองน้ำชำ), as it covers the two subdistricts Rong Fong and Nam Cham. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 33.50 km², 9 villages and 5,408 citizen.
  • Kut Din Chi, Na Klang district, Nong Bua Lamphu province, effective on August 1 2009, upgraded and renamed to Na Nong Thum (เทศบาลตำบลนาหนองทุ่ม), to avoid confusion with the municipality Kut Din Chi (เทศบาลตำบลร้องกวาง). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 90.05 km², 15 villages and 10,342 citizen.
  • Sam Ngam Tha Bot, Hankha district, Chainat province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sam Ngam Phatthana (เทศบาลตำบลสามง่ามพัฒนา), to avoid confusion with the municipality Sam Ngam Tha Bot (เทศบาลตำบลสามง่ามท่าโบสถ์).
