  • Nakhon Pathom (เทศบาลเมืองนครปฐม), Mueang Nakhon Pathom district, Nakhon Pathom province, effective March 1. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 22.2 km², 8 villages and 12,043 citizen. It should not be confused with the city Nakhon Pathom (เทศบาลนครนครปฐม), located south of the new town and covering parts of the subdistrict Nakhon Pathom as well.
  • Nong Pling (เทศบาลเมืองหนองปลิง), Mueang Kamphaeng Phet district, Kamphaeng Phet province. The TAO was created in 1995, covers 84.58 km², 11 villages and 11,940 citizen. No date of being effective was given, but it seems the upgrade was done in March.
  • Ban Tam (เทศบาลตำบลบ้านต๊ำ), Mueang Phayao district, Phayao province getting its boundaries redefined corresponding to the changes in the subdistrict bounaries made in 2012.

  • Ko Kha, Ko Kha district, Lampang province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sop Yao (เทศบาลตำบลสบยาว), to avoid confusion with the municipality Ko Kha (เทศบาลตำบลเกาะคา). The TAO was created in 1996, covers 15 km², 7 villages and 3,608 citizen.
  • Si That, Si That district, Udon Thani province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Bueng Kham O (เทศบาลตำบลบึงคำอ้อ), to avoid confusion with the municipality Si That (เทศบาลตำบลเกาะคา). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 21 km², 9 villages and 2,440 citizen.
  • Pa Daeng, Chat Trakan district, Phitsanulok province, effective on July 30 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sai Ngam (เทศบาลตำบลไทรงาม), to avoid confusion with the municipality Pa Daeng (เทศบาลตำบลป่าแดง). The TAO was created in 1996, covers 9 km², 7 villages and 3,255 citizen.
  • Rong Kwang, Rong Kwang district, Phrae province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sai Ngam (เทศบาลตำบลผานางคอย), to avoid confusion with the municipality Rong Kwang (เทศบาลตำบลร้องกวาง). The TAO was created in 1996, covers 62.30 km², 11 villages and 2,131 citizen.
  • Rong Fong, Mueang Phrae district, Phrae province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Rong Fong Nam Cham (เทศบาลตำบลฟองน้ำชำ), as it covers the two subdistricts Rong Fong and Nam Cham. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 33.50 km², 9 villages and 5,408 citizen.
  • Kut Din Chi, Na Klang district, Nong Bua Lamphu province, effective on August 1 2009, upgraded and renamed to Na Nong Thum (เทศบาลตำบลนาหนองทุ่ม), to avoid confusion with the municipality Kut Din Chi (เทศบาลตำบลร้องกวาง). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 90.05 km², 15 villages and 10,342 citizen.
  • Sam Ngam Tha Bot, Hankha district, Chainat province, effective on July 31 2009, upgraded and renamed to Sam Ngam Phatthana (เทศบาลตำบลสามง่ามพัฒนา), to avoid confusion with the municipality Sam Ngam Tha Bot (เทศบาลตำบลสามง่ามท่าโบสถ์). The TAO was created in 1997, covers 22.23 km², 8 villages and 3,848 citizen.

The TAO was created in 1996, covers 90.36 km², 17 villages and 10,460 citizen.

The TAO was originally named Bang Sare (บางเสร่) and was renamed together with the upgrade, as the central part of the subdistrict already forms a subdistrict municipality named Bang Sare. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 58 km², 7 villages and 7,376 citizen.
  • Phra That Pu Kam (เทศบาลตำบลพระธาตุปู่ก่ำ), Chiang Dao district, Chiang Mai province, effective July 18 2008. The TAO was originally named Mueang Ngai (เมืองงาย) and was renamed together with the upgrade, as the central part of the subdistrict already forms a subdistrict municipality named Mueang Ngai. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 159.86 km², 8 villages and 2,377 citizen.
  • Makham Mueang Mai (เทศบาลตำบลมะขามเมืองใหม่), Makham district, Chanthaburi province, effective July 25 2008.   • Pak Nam Tha Ruea (เทศบาลตำบลปากน้ำท่าเรือ), Mueang Ranong district, Ranong province, effective July 25 2008. The TAO was originally named Pak Nam (ปากน้ำ) and was renamed together with the upgrade, as the central part of the subdistrict already forms a subdistrict municipality named Pak Nam. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 22.80 km², 5 villages and 7,050 citizen.

  • Mueang Det (เทศบาลเมืองเมืองเดช), Det Udom district, Ubon Ratchathani province renamed to Det Udom (เทศบาลเมืองเดชอุดม) to avoid confusion with the TAO Mueang Det.
  • Rang Wai (เทศบาลตำบลรางหวาย), Phanom Tuan district, Kanchanaburi province renamed to Talat Khet (เทศบาลตำบลตลาดเขต) as the more fitting name.
