- Ko Tao (เทศบาลตำบลเกาะเต่า), Ko Pha-ngan district, Surat Thani province, effective September 1. The TAO was created in 1997, covers 21.03 km², 3 villages and 1,716 citizen.
- Chai Wan TAO (องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลไชยวาน), Chai Wan district, Udon Thani province renamed to Nong Waeng Kaem Thom and upgraded to subdistrict municipality (เทศบาลตำบลหนองแวงแก้มหอม), effective October 5. The TAO was created in 1996, covers 56 km², 15 villages and 5,108 citizen.
